The coronavirus has pushed restaurateurs to creatively expand offerings amid pandemic-related restrictions and financial pressure

But many of those venturing to the East End this summer are doing so with less financial risk by limiting themselves to delivery from the city or by partnering with a hotel. In the case of veteran New York and New Jersey restaurateur David Burke, he is trying an altogether different approach, creating a menu of offerings for Honest Plate, a service, based in East Hampton, that provides prepared meals with a healthy focus.
