Celebrity Chef David Burke will be opening a new restaurant in The Opus, Westchester hotel in White Plains
The Opus, Westchester hotel in White Plains will be soon be the home of an American steakhouse helmed by a celebrity chef.
David Burke Hospitality Management, the restaurant operating and consulting company led by international award-winning chef David Burks, has signed an 11-year lease with Renaissance Hotel Partners for a 7,900-square-foot space at The Opus, Westchester.
Red Horse by David Burke, a modern American steakhouse with Asian accents, will open in early January.
The 200-seat restaurant, with another 80 seats outdoors, will be the second steakhouse under the Red Horse banner.
Its dedicated entrance and street address is 121 Main St. in White Plains.
Burke will be incorporating elements from his other restaurants, as well as the Red Horse brand, into the new space, including a massive pink Himalayan salt wall separating the open kitchen from the dining room and red-and-white stirrup print wallpaper.
The menu will focus on prime beef dry-aged according to Burke’s patented Himalayan salt process and will also feature signature dishes such as Clothesline Bacon, Lobster Dumplings and Pork Chops with Sandy Hook Clams Casino.
Burke said he is looking forward to expanding his presence in New York.
“It’s an impressive and very flexible space in a great location,” he said. “I’m very excited about it as a launching pad for the expansion of the Red Horse by David Burke brand.
“And I’m looking forward to becoming involved in the Westchester Co. dining scene and more involved with the Hudson Valley’s,” Burke said.
