RUMSON – The historic wine room in the cellar of the century-old building housing Red Horse by David Burke, site of the legendary Fromagerie, received a total redo and is now taking reservations for intimate gatherings.
The Wine Room, which accommodates an intimate gathering of 16 guests with adjacent lounge in the cellar, with a wine list which is a work in progress, includes over 150 selections. Burke has plans to grow the wine program into one with as much relevance and importance as the Fromagerie’s 500-selection wine list once was.
The renovation of the Fromagerie’s historic wine cellar pays homage to its past while making the private dining space a more user-friendly private event room than the previous rustic and cramped room. Improvements made to the wine room include a slight expansion, new copper ceiling, exquisite lighting, stone walls and wine lockers with interior lighting.
